Stellantis NASTF VSP access for key and immobilizer programming: enrollment and PIN workflow overview

How to enroll as a NASTF Vehicle Security Professional (VSP), set up Authy 2FA, log in to the Stellantis IOP portal, and purchase a PIN code for key programming, ECM / PCM replacement, or BCM immobilizer relearn on 2014+ Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and FIAT vehicles.

Working on a 2014 or newer Stellantis (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, FIAT) vehicle and need to program a key, replace a PCM / ECM, or relearn a BCM? You'll need an active NASTF Vehicle Security Professional (VSP) credential and a PIN code purchased through the Stellantis IOP portal. Here's the full access workflow - from NASTF enrollment to PIN retrieval to programming.

For the step-by-step PIN purchase procedure itself, see our article on the Stellantis Rolling PIN Code purchase via NASTF for key, ECM, and BCM programming.

When NASTF access is required for Stellantis vehicles

Stellantis (Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep / Ram / FIAT) vehicles manufactured in 2014 and later use a secured immobilizer system that requires a PIN code obtained through the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) Secure Data Release Model (SDRM). This process ensures that only credentialed, vetted technicians can access key programming and immobilizer security data.

Any technician or shop performing the following operations on 2014+ Stellantis vehicles must have an active NASTF VSP credential:

- Key programming (adding or replacing keys / fobs)

- PCM / ECM replacement and security pairing

- BCM replacement requiring immobilizer relearn

- Any procedure requiring a Stellantis security PIN code 2013 and earlier Stellantis vehicles do not require NASTF PIN access - standard programming applies.

Step-by-step: NASTF enrollment and PIN retrieval

Step 1 - Apply for NASTF VSP: The customer or technician must apply for a Vehicle Security Professional (VSP) account at the NASTF website and complete the required background check process.

Step 2 - Complete background check: NASTF will conduct a background screening as part of the VSP approval. Processing times vary. Once approved, you will receive a VSP number. Step 3 - Set up Authy (2FA): Upon approval, download the Authy app to your smartphone. This is used for two-factor authentication when logging into the Stellantis IOP portal.

Step 4 - Log in to Stellantis IOP: Navigate to the Stellantis IOP NASTF portal and log in using your VSP credentials and Authy 2FA code.

Step 5 - Purchase the PIN code: Search for the vehicle by VIN and purchase the applicable PIN code. PIN codes are active for 12 hours from the time of purchase.

Step 6 - Program the key: Using the PIN code along with a wiTECH 2 interface and an active TechAuthority subscription, complete the key programming procedure in the vehicle.

Important notes about NASTF access and Stellantis PIN codes

PIN codes expire 12 hours after purchase - coordinate with the customer to ensure the vehicle is available for programming within that window.

The NASTF background check process may take several business days. Plan accordingly for customer timelines.
