Getting Started with Your Keyline Machine

This guide will help you get your Keyline machine set up and ready for use. AE customers primarily use Keyline Ninja, Ninja Total, and Gymkana machines. While the basic setup is similar across these Keyline machines, each is designed for different key types and applications, so always use the setup information for your specific Keyline model.

Which Keyline Machine Do I Have?

Keyline Ninja is primarily for flat/edge-cut keys, including code cutting, duplication, and decoding. Keyline Ninja Total supports edge-cut, laser, and dimple keys, and includes dedicated procedures for automotive laser keys, dimple keys, and engraving. Keyline Gymkana 994 is designed for automotive laser and double-sided edge-cut keys. Check Keyline's official product resources for your specific machine to confirm the correct setup procedure.

Before You Begin Setup

Before setting up your Keyline machine, make sure you have the Keyline machine itself, the correct power supply, the correct clamps/jaws, and the required cutters on hand.

Initial Setup Steps

  1. Place the Keyline machine on a stable, level work surface.

  2. Connect the appropriate power supply.

  3. Connect the console/control device, if applicable.

  4. Power on the Keyline machine.

  5. Allow the machine and Liger software to start completely.

  6. Confirm that the machine is recognized by the Liger software.

  7. Verify the correct clamp and cutter are installed.

  8. Confirm the machine is calibrated before production cutting.

Before Cutting Your First Key

Before cutting your first key on your Keyline machine, confirm: the correct machine is selected, the machine is powered on, Liger is functioning, the correct clamp/jaw is installed, the correct cutter is installed, the machine is calibrated, the correct key blank has been selected, and the correct vehicle/application has been identified.
