How to create a Ford account for FDRS through fordserviceinfo.com
Step-by-step guide to creating a Ford Service Info account so you can use FDRS, including email verification, account information setup, choosing the Independent Repair Facility user type, and accepting the terms and conditions.
Need to create a Ford account so you can use FDRS? Ford accounts are created through fordserviceinfo.com using an email verification flow, followed by an account information page where you select your user type. Here's the full process from start to finish.
How to create your Ford account for FDRS
Step 1: Go to https://www.fordserviceinfo.com/
Step 2: On the Ford Service Info homepage, click "Register Today" under the New To FordServiceInfo? section.
Step 3: Input a valid email address, then click "Request Code."
Step 4: An email with a verification code will be sent to the email address you entered. Find the email from Ford and apply the code in the Verification Code field, then click "Submit."
Step 5: Apply the verification code and then fill out the requested information - First Name, Last Name, and Password. Click "Create Account."
Step 6: You will see a "SUCCESS!" confirmation. Do NOT close the page - account setup still needs to be completed.
How to complete your Ford account setup
Step 7: Once the Account Information page is up, fill in your Company Name and under "User Type" select "Independent Repair Facility."
Step 8: Check the box at the bottom that reads "I certify that I have read and agree to the site terms and privacy statement," then press "Submit."
Step 9: Agree to the terms and conditions on the next page by clicking "Agree."
Step 10: Your account is now complete and able to be used for FDRS.
Important notes about creating a Ford account for FDRS
The verification code is valid for 10 minutes. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder, and if more than 10 minutes have passed, click "Send New Code" to request a new one.
Do not close the browser page after seeing the "SUCCESS!" screen - the account is not finished until you complete the User Type selection and accept the terms and conditions. Closing early leaves the account incomplete and unable to be used for FDRS.
After your Ford account is created, you will still need an active Ford Diagnostic Software subscription to actually log in and use FDRS. If you run into login issues or Error Code 0 in IDS, see our articles on Ford FDRS login issues and Ford Diagnostic Software subscription renewal.
