How to log into Ford software with your NASTF credentials
Ford software asks for your NASTF username and password but won't accept your NASTF account credentials. The login actually requires your LSID and a one-time password from the NASTF authenticator app.
Having trouble logging into Ford software using your NASTF credentials? The login prompt can be confusing because it asks for a "username and password" but it's not requesting your regular NASTF account email and password. Here's what it actually needs and where to find it.
What Ford software is actually asking for when it says NASTF username and password
When Ford software asks for your NASTF username and password, it is not asking for your NASTF account email and password. Instead, it is asking for two different things:
Username: Your LSID (Locksmith Identification Number). This is a separate number tied to your NASTF account, not your email address.
Password: A one-time password (OTP) generated from the NASTF authenticator app. This is not your regular NASTF password — it changes every time.
How to find your LSID for Ford software login
Step 1: Go to the NASTF login page and log in with your regular NASTF account credentials (your email and password).
Step 2: Click into your Dashboard.
Step 3: Your LSID will be displayed on the dashboard. This is what you enter into the Username field in the Ford software.
How the one-time password (OTP) works
The password field in the Ford software login requires a one-time password generated by the NASTF authenticator app. This is not your regular NASTF account password.
If you're not familiar with the app or can't access the OTP, check with the NASTF account holder if it isn't you. Also make sure the authenticator app is installed and synced correctly with your NASTF account.
