GM No Longer Working in Windows 10
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE: Windows 10 support has ended for GM software applications as of October 14, 2025.
If your shop is still running Windows 10, your GM tools — including Techline Connect and GDS2 — may no longer function correctly and your systems may be out of compliance with the GM Dealer Infrastructure & Security Guidelines (DISG).
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
GM now requires all computers to run Windows 11 Professional (64-bit). In addition, your hardware must meet these minimum specs:
• Processor: Intel Core i3/i5/i7, 8th Gen+ or AMD Ryzen 6000+
• RAM: 16 GB or more
• Storage: 1 TB or more
• Wireless: 802.11ac or better
Machines that do not meet these requirements may not be supported by GM's approved vendors upon contract renewal.
DON'T WAIT — AE TOOLS CAN HELP YOU GET COMPLIANT FAST.
We stock enterprise-grade laptops and desktops that meet and exceed GM's current DISG specifications. Our team can quickly assess your current setup and get you equipped with the right hardware — with minimal disruption to your dealership's operations.
