Can I Have Multiple Computers Using Volkswagen/Audi Software?
Yes, you can run Volkswagen and Audi software (ODIS) on multiple computers—and in fact, it's one of the more flexible OEM platforms in this regard.
How Multi-Computer Access Works
Volkswagen’s subscription model for ODIS is organization-based, not limited to a single device. That means you can authorize multiple laptops under the same company account—as long as each one has its own required certificate.
You’ll Need an ODIS Certificate for Each Computer
To run ODIS on more than one computer, you’ll need to purchase an ODIS certificate for each laptop you want to authorize. These certificates are:
-
$600 per machine (Price subject to change)
-
Hardware-locked (tied to the specific laptop)
-
Required to authenticate with the VW/Audi server
Once installed, the certificate allows that specific device to run the ODIS software and connect to Volkswagen’s online services.
Shared or Individual Login Options
You can either:
-
Share a single set of credentials across your team, or
-
Create individual user accounts for each technician or device
This flexibility makes ODIS ideal for shops with multiple technicians or separate workstations.
